Default Go to Z- home position for manual tool change.

I have an older Anilam 3 axis CNC mill. I am trying to get the machine to go back to Z0 for a tool change. I have the 3-axis template set up and when I click the tool change button all I get is an option to set the X and Y. Can anyone tell me where I need to go to set the z-axis to home so I can do my tool change?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Which control do you have?

When you first power on the machine the Z axis needs to be put in your "home" or tool change position and then zeroed while Tool #0 is active. You touch the other tools with Tool #0 is the active tool as they are all offsets from its zero value.

I am setting my tools properly. The issue is that I cannot get the tool to retract to the Z home position when a tool change is called for. When I click the tool change button in Gibbs2015 I see spots for the X and Y tool change position but no Z position? I am trying to find where to put the Z value. Attached is a picture of what I am talking about.Go to Z- home position for manual tool change.-docpage-jpgGo to Z- home position for manual tool change.-toolchangpage-jpg

    Also, I am using a 3-axis template.

    Thanks,
    Steve

That tool change button is to move your table so you don't swing a tool into your part on a tool change.
