"Don't worry Jon, I am hear and I know whats coming..
so when you become a MC user again then we will let you see..
Or next Westec come see me at the booth.. ;-) "

Westec ? Wasn't that an annual machine tool show that use to actually attract a decent sized group of people ? ;>)

Why don't they just hold Westec at the Haas factory next year ? :>)

Have you worked with anyone who is taking hand ported heads and digitizing them so they can be mass produced ? This is where my five axis interest lies.

BTW, have you spent anytime with DelCAM PowerMill ?

Glad to read your working with Ground Support for a MasterCAM post alternative. I never could get motivated to make the effort to deal with the MasterCAM NCI file / text based post approach. Still have bad memories of what I had to deal with with DP Esprit X's all text based post constructor.

Without a doubt EZCAM's post construction and editing spoiled me. I think EGS still uses EZCAM's M-Build technology for FeatureCAM.

I've noticed that GibbsGod really pushes the Gibbs COMPost approach (how aptly named. ;>)) ) over PostHaste. I suspect for years GibbsGod has constructed posts for his clients with his personal seat of COMPost and this has provided an excellent source of additional income from GibbsCAM sales. At one point, Ashlar-Vellum must have also been yet another excellent source of additional income as geometry creation with GibbsCAM was / is so poor.

Someone recently e-mailed me the Gibbs COMPost manuals. One day I might actually care enough about COMPost to take the time to read them. ;>)

Seems like PostHaste is going to have a *major impact* on many CAD/CAM systems.
