unable to create grooving path

I'm using Gibbs 2004 and am trying to create a process for this groove, and as you can see, the tool won't go down into the groove. Related to this is if I try to pick the lines of the radii, I'm unable to. I can only pick the geometry outside of the groove, as shown. The groove is .295 wide and I'm using a .125 wide insert. Any suggestions?

Looks like I got it. I had a rectangular tool selected instead of the grooving tool. Rookie mistake!
