Cant seem to get the tool path on the same level or to follow the right contour when trying to machine on a domed surface. Any suggestions ?

ok, i started by creating a solid dome. then created lettering and geometry in x,y plane at 0 z height. i then projected contour onto solid. i selected the geometry that it projected for machining. it generated a tool path but parts of individual letters are not consistant with the rest of that letter's cutting depth. it was all programed for .005 depth, i dont get it !

Are you engraving? You don't need to project the contour, just select "Project 2D Toolpath" on the Solids tab and enter -.005 for the surface stock. You should also use a ball endmill if you want clean, even letters.
