After I do a bunch of operations and they are now on the right hand side of the screen in the finished ops section and want to make any changes can I right click the tile and select operations manager, pull up the list of ops and make any changes that will actually change the operation. This would be very nice and quick as opposed to double clicking all the tiles I want to change, make the changes in each tile and redo the op. Maybe its a crazy thought but my Prototrak mill with conversational programing works this way and it is nice to make the changes on one page and saves time. I tried it in Gibbs and dont seem to be able to change any of the inputs. Is the operation manager just to get an overall view of what is inside each operation and not capable of alterations? thanks, |

Now they will want me to catch up in full if I was to upgrade. I also tried to buy the $2200 full 4th axis but they wanted $3600 in back maintanance first. Life aint easy for a small shop. |

| The new op manager is worth the back maintenance. It has saved me hours of clicking. You change one value, highlight the rest of the ops you want to edit, right click the new value and select "apply value to selected ops". Boom. 50 ops updated in less than 30 seconds. Spindle speed, feed rate, clearance planes, z depth (unfortunately not z step, yet), basically everything can be edited. Here is another major time saver that uses the new op manager. I have a lathe part template that I use as a starting point for all my lathe parts. It has all the tools I keep in the turret as well as standard lathe ops already done. Front face, od turn, drill, id bore, od thread, id thread, back side chamfer, and cut off. Every time I start a new part, I just import the new geometry, delete any unneeded ops, click "redo" for the rest, then go to the op manager and adjust spindle speeds d.o.c. and feed rates. I can do a couple dozen lathe parts a day like that. |
