Hey guys... Quick re-fresher question... when I select a line to program, highlights in blue, with the circles and such to choose which side i want to program on that line etc etc. Is there a way or quick key to use to automatically reverse the start and end point of machining that line? at it is now, when i select the line the entry is at the "bottom/south" of the line, and the end is the "top/north" of the line, Id like to be able to flip this 180 degrees easily without having to drag my start and end point to opposite end of the line... let me me know if im fishin in the dark or if there is a solution. Gibbs 2004+ by the way. thanks lads |

| I am sure someone has a better answer. I have the same issue. Sometimes picking the other end of the line works. Sometimes not. More than half the time I end up clicking the opposite arrow and offseting circle. I think there is also a way after you have created the process then highlight the process and right click and pick Reverse Tool Path. I do not do this because I want to see it correct before I create the process with "Do It".

| It has to do with the way/direction the line was created. See my attached pics. The bottom line was created from left to right, and when selected, the contour starts from left to right. The top line was created from right to left, and when selected, the contour starts from right to left. Notice I had labels on (ctr L) so you can see the points numbered 1 and 2 left to right, then 3 and 4 right to left. If you mirror or rotate the entities around their centerlines, the contour follows suit and is also reversed. I believe but, I'm not certain, that in other cam software this is either called chaining or is related to chaining. I don't use inferior software so I don't know for sure. |
