i am new to programing and am using gibbs. i got most of it figured out but am having trouble trying to threadmill. i used the advent software to do it cuz it was easier to program and came highly reccomended. i used it to do a npt thread and worked fine. i had succes. now im trying to do it with a straight un thread and it cuts offcenter everytime. my work zero is the center of the hole nothin has changed. but when i threadmill its probly .15 of center to the left or x-. cant make it work in gibbs cuz i dont really know what im doing with it. i recently took over the cnc forman/programmer in a small shop. nobody here can offer any help or has any idea how to run any of these machines. im on my own and was left to the sharks. im drowning needless to say. any help would be good. much apprecitive of any help. drowning badly brian also can post the program if nessicery. |

all of it. i can not get it to work or look right in the sim. therefore im scared to try it in the machine for fear of crashing a 200$ threadmill. this is a very small company that cant afford to crash these very expensive tools. the advent threadmill software came highly reccomended and i used that. it was much easier. but it cuts the thread off center of the hole everytime. im very new to gibbs and programming in general. i have no problems with the lathe side but the mill side is very confusing as i have no training on it and was left to the wolfes. |
