    2d to 3d programming

I am changing jobs next week and will continue to use Gibbscam, but they have just purchased the 3d package and I have never had to use it. The only REAL 3d programming I have done is with Lemoine. How hard is the transition going to be and about how long before I am efficent with it. FYI my transition from Surfcam to Gibbs took about 2 weeks.

    Gibbs 3D

If it only took you two weeks to transition from Surf Cam to Gibbs, 3D shouldn't be a huge deal for you.
It is different, very different from 2D and 2.5D.
If you have access to the manuals and go through the tutorials that will help a lot.
Hopefully you will be programming from Solids which you will love for ease of use once you get the hang of it.
Many 3D operations of much...much easier than one might think.
If you are using the latest version of Gibbs Cam there are some nifty new Surfacing features which are almost brand new.

    Have fun!

Thanks palerider, I called and talked to the regional Gibbs rep and he said he would answer any questions I have once I start to use it. Looking forward to learning some new software too!
