Newbie needs help with Virtual Gibbs

    Hi folks,
I've been out of machining for nearly 20 years and decided to buy a CNC. Crazy, I know.

The part I need to make has a bowl or dish in the center of it.

How do I draw this in Virtual Gibbs? I don't have solid works with the program and can't for the life of me figure out how to draw the bowl so I can create a tool path.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have version 2002, 6.0. I believe it has 3D as there are wire frames and I can rotate the part 3D. Again, all my experience was with MDI before this.

    Swept shapes

The guy who was running the machine before I purchased had the answer. He told me about swept shapes. Now I just have to figure out how to draw this stuff and I should be on my way.

If you have knowledge on this I would like to hear from you.

Change to an X-Z plane, draw 1/2 of the profile, then rotate it.
Apparently I don't know anything, so please verify my suggestions with my wife.
