I use Gibbs 2010 at work and am trying to import some IGES files made in BobCAD. The part is a simple lathe part. It doesn't come in as anything I can work with. It looks like a couple of surfaces not attached , the faces are all square planes and the 'solid' looks hollow. Gibbs isn't solidifying the part like it does with files from ProE. What I would like is if anyone has Gibbs to import this file and see if it comes in the same, and if it does, if anyone can tell me whether or not it is a Gibbs issue or a BobCAD issue. I'm new to solids and am looking for any help. Thanks in advance for any help. Last edited by NewToGibbs; 04-07-2011 at 11:09 PM. |

| I cannot get it to open right in Gibbs 2010 either. Solidworks opened it right up, but shows 72 gaps between faces when I run diagnostics. I think it is a BobCad issue. Try opening it up in Solidworks if you have and then transfer it from there to Gibbs |
