    Exhaust Gases Temperature

    Can anyone help with providing a value for the Temperature of the Exhaust gases of the plasma cutting (rough estimation is fine)

    How close to the cutting arc? It's up to 50,000 degrees F there, and would obviously get cooler as you move further away. Would also depend on whether you're talking about the brown smoke rising off after the cut or underneath where you have vaporized and rapidly oxidizing metal spray in the mix.

    thanks panozeng
    to be more specific I am asking about the case where you have a filter unit applying vacuum to some basket under the cutting torch and that basket is attached to a hose which can withstand about 300°C. do you think that hose which is 1-1.5m far from the torch can handle the heat?
