    Miller 625 X-Treme plasma

People here seem to be partial to the hypertherm 1000 for their plasma tables. Why is that? Is anyone here using or thinking about the Miller Spectrum 625 X-Treme plasma? what are the reasons to use one over the other?

    torches , current etc

I had the same thought as the 625 was lighter and would run better on my generator. What I think I found out was that

1.there is no machine torch for the 625,
    2. the torch does not disconnect easily
    3. there is no "plasma good" signal output for THC
    4. it only comes in 12' or 20' torches.

this is not definitive as i am by no means an expert.

Those are all valid reasons. The Hypertherm Powermax45 is a good choice as well.....and is closer in power and pricing to the Miller 625.

We've been running the 1000 for about 6 years now. Eventually, I'd like to upgrade to the 1250 or the 1650. Probably should've started with one of the bigger ones. At the time of purchase the smaller fine cut consumables were the bigger attraction.
