    Exclamation Major Newby needs help....

Me and a friend are currently in the process of building our plasma cutting table from scratch. I have purchased the rockcliff CNC System 3 Motor Drive Kit. We have also ordered the Hypertherm Powermax1650 machine.

Where I'm currently lost is ... How do I connect the hypertherm, or any other torch, to interface with the computer so the software controls the firing of the torch? Is it somewhere via the Driver Board used to drive the motors or do I need to make a seperate control box for this operation?

Any help would be greatly appreciated... TIA

Buy the right controls and all of that is built in. PC to motor drive buffers, Input isolation, Torch control and integrated THC. So your building a table top plasma cutter with a 1650 100A torch? You will face some challenges running that motor control with no input isolation with a plasma cutter.
