Sodick A280L-Mark EX Alarm!

Hello all,

Newbie here! Thanks for such a nice and resourceful group of contributors.

I need help with my Sodick A280L - Mark EX control WEDM. It was running fine until I shut her down for several weeks 'till today. I keep getting the alarm "Electrode and Workpiece Touched" when using Sesitive Touch Features/Pick up the center of a hole... Tried to shut down the machines plenty of times and completely cleaned all guides/contacts with the same result. Please help!!!

i run the same machine as this and have had the same strange error mesages before
in my experance this problem is caused by a bad conection
to the bed or guides so check all conections any thinig slightly suspect replace the end as i have hade conections apart befor that looked fine but were badley coroded i think there are 2 smaller wiers that go to the bed that are very importent so check these and the big bunch that goes thru the water back to tank holefor chafing i persume your center finding comes of the floppy disc so you should not of had any memery loss from the down time outer than trying another stystems disk i cant think of any think else
