plasma cutters

New to CNC's. I am building a gantry. I am looking for a plasma cutter with a machine held cutting head. Is there such a cutter available in a mid price range, ($300 to $600).

That is not a "mid" price range! An American made 40 Amp plasma with a machine torch will list for about $2600. You can probably buy an import unit of similar power level for a little less with a machine torch.
