I don't have any pics but start with a large squirrel cage blower. It creates an unbelievable amount of suction, and make sure you skirt your table with plywood or metal sheet.
After reading many posts about down draft and water tables, I decided to go with a down draft set up for now, as I need something to help my black lung. Does anyone have any pictures of down draft set ups they have built, to give me a little bit of a head start in the right direction. Any info or technical specs on positioning inlets and outlets would be greatly appreciated. I have a 4 x 8 plasma route table.
Thanks for your time
Chris

I have a 2HP blower I was planning on using. Do you just skirt the outside or is there some kind of panels inside to control the air flow? What should the location of the intake hose be? center, top, bottom ?
Thanks
I am from Mass.
I have 2 oxy-fuel Esab and 2 plasma Messer
I switched to down draft tables because I was sick treating the water. Now it is much better. I bought from Sideros Engineering, they produce everything you need for the metal plate working (down draft tables, dust collectors, 3 axes welding positioners, tumblers etc), the Quality is very very good (they are European) and the price is good. In the US they are located in North Carolina . Check the web site!!!: Sideros Engineering - Il mondo della lamiera, let me know if you need someone's names and contacts there!!
