    Wire EDM 4 axis Program

I have a Hitachi H-Cut 403N. I have successfully cut 2-axis (Mode 0 )and Standard taper (Mode 1) profiles. I have not managed to do any 4 axis cuts.
I have tried various programs using different post processors, and manual programs but I cannot get the U and V axis to move at all.
Does anyone have a sample program I could have a look at?
Are there any parameters that need changing in the machine?
Could it be that I should be using inc or abs or a special G code?

I have set the Taper Cutting Mode to 2 on settings page 4.

    Thanks
    Iain

I forgot to mention that the Hitachi has a 6 series Fanuc controller. Any help would be really appreciated as I am at my wits end with this!

Do you have the vertical lock button set on the controller?

Dunno if it will help (and I'm doing this from memory so I hope that I'm correct when I say)....I'm a Mits user...but, UNLESS you've got a left or right cutter comp in effect (G41 or G42)...taper won't move.
