Hi Andy,
Do you use manual or mechanical torch? How much prices for hypertherm 1000?
Cheers,
Mongkol
How long do these parts last?
I have almost finished my homebuilt Plasma and I just need to sort out the floating head
I have bought a Hypertherm 1000 Plasma cutter, and it came with 60 amp nozzles.
I need to build up a stock of consumables and I will be using Finecut consumables for use on 1.5mm (16swg) Stainless Steel.
Do some parts wear faster then others?
Thanks
Andy

I paid £2344 ($4,664.72 USD) for the Hypertherm 1000
That was the cheapest price that I could find here in the UK

I think most people will tell you that consumable life varies depending on a bunch of variables. These being Air Quality (oil and moisture free), Cutting Speed, torch head control (THC) and other variables I havent listed.
Having said that, I personally have a Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster 81 and I cut mostly between .0478 and .250 sheets and have alot of "peirces" in my projects per sheet. I see I have to change the nozzle about every third sheet. The tip every 6 sheets and the starter cartridge every 15 sheets. I think there may be some differences between our machines but I think the principle is the same. Mine is also a hand torch so you may see better life from yours.
