2 tpi lead screw? What motors?

I have a 6 foot 2 tpi w/4starts lead screw what would be the best size stepper motors to use?I would like to use a xylotex bipolar controller
@24 volts with 286 oz/in motors.I have a FET-3 with 150 oz/in @12 volts at the moment but i do not think it will cut the mustard . What do you guys think? I would like to get it to run between 20ipm and 100ipm.

    Thanks Jim

What diameter is the screw, and how much weight are you moving?

You didn't say how much weight you were moving, but they should work OK. If your not moving a lot of weight, they should give you a LOT of speed.

The X-axis will be pushing about 30 lbs. Also it is for a plasma cnc so that is all the load that will be on that axis.
