laminated shmstock on waterjet

i have a waterjetr question , will waterjet peirce and cut laminated shimstock without delaminating it , the material is aluminum , brass and steel lamintaed shimstock with laminations from .001 -,005 in several layers.

forgot to add that the overall thickness is from .050 - .375 overall thickness

I have let a company try cutting hpl. They could not start in the middle, the pressure went sideways inside the material. Starting from the side was possible but that leaves out a whole lot of things to be made...
