    independent-universal THC device

Hi, My name is Lukasz, i'm from Poland. I'm Sorry for my english. The DIY CNC plasma cutters are not widespread in Poland so I can not get help. in connection with questions from my clients i need help with the project Z-Axis driver plasma complette controller built on the my Compact THC Controller.

    My main assumptions new project:
    1. Integrated Stepper Motor driver (or only step/dir signals)
    2. USB/opto RS485 interface
    3. Small PC software (management of groups of parameters)
    4. Inputs : my THC controller, Torch On (from PC),THC(voltage control) Enable? (from PC), material sensor (switch or diferent sensor), axis limit switch
    5. outputs: Torch ON, ARC OK (to PC) and stepper motor.

I seek user (maybe more users), who wants to help create a prototype in exchange for the finished product. All my new products have the ability to firmware UpGrade, should remote collaboration not be difficult.

I care That the device was universal and capable of being mounted in a variety of CNC control systems.

but in the beginning I need to know your needs. This will be the device for you, not for me .

Most important is unfavorable opinion - what is wrong with my assumptions.

    Please, a lot of reservations

    EDIT:
I forgot to write: my time zone is different than the U.S. so I can write off on a strange time.

    OVERVIEW [ PDF ]
It seems very simple in construction. (compared to other controllers as my company produces for individual orders ).

While keeping the torch away from the material with a simple voltage unit while the torch is cutting it is only one facet of what a good THC should accomplish.

    a good THC will

    1. No drop the Z axis while cutting corners (slow down or ramp down in the corners)
    2. Will not drop the Z axis when exiting a cut
    3. Allow the amount per time of readings to be tweaked
    4. Be isolated from the rest of the system
    5. Allow real time feedback to the operator
    6. Be adjustable as far as tip voltage on the fly and on the screen where it can be adjusted quickly
    7. Allow login to stop the machine in case of a fault

The BEST THCs will drop amperage in the corners and on radii when surface feet changes
