    Industrial NC Plasma Selection

I need to recommend an industrial plasma cutting system for use in a high volume production environment where productivity, reliability and ease of use are key. We will be cutting mild steel and 304 stainless sheet in gauges from 24 to 18 (this is not a HVAC application). These machines will be located in Africa so service and part availability is also important.
There are so many choices out there. I would appreciate any guidance on this.

Hypertherm has several commercial grade electronics options for heavy industrial use and a worldwide dealer network. Contact Hypertherm corporate to get a dealer in area where you will be servicing the account.

    Smile As Tom . . .

As Tom has said, Hypertherm should be able to point you to several companies that build the system you are seeking . . .

I mentioned Jim because he is a very helpful person who is also a 35+ year employee of Hypertherm . . . he frequents all the sites that pertain to plasma cutting.

There is a Hyperthem sub-forum here that is monitored by JC so a quick post there will get a response. He can guide you to an industrial plasma table MFG that can offer you the support you need in the buyers country. There are several table mfgs in South Africa and probably some that build using Hypertherm controls. If you are Central or North Africa you will have to get with Hypertherm for a suggestion.

You can contact me directly at Hypertherm | Plasma Cutters | Plasma Cutting Equipment | Metal Cutting Equipment | CAM Software | Fiber Laser Cutting Equipment and I'd be happy to steer you in the proper direction. It would be nice to know your expectations in terms of cut speed, required cut part accuracy, etc. Often on thin materials as you suggest...you could use either plasma or a laser cutting process depending on your productivity and cut part accuracy requirements.
