MITSUBISHI SX10 HELP

Hi guys, I am having an issue on my SX10, could anybody helpme please.
My problem is that when I try to center the piece I am going to machine and when I touch it with the wire it doesnt turn on the light that shows is in contact, so I was not able to center. I change the piece for another one which I was only going to slice it. If I was not able to center it wont be an issue so I tried to slice the piece for the first time to get my 0.0000 but when I pressed the Machining button the contact light turn on and didnt run, 30 seconds later I got the 30 sec contact error.

you probably have a sliver of wire stuck somewhere...
