3D Waterjet

3 dimensional laser and plasma cutting for tube and structural steel is pretty common now.

Does anyone know if there is such a thing as 3D waterjet cutting ? Have a unique part and material combination that doesn't play well with thermal cutting because of potential deformation from localized heating.

Yes as stated. Keep in mind there are a huge amount of consumables in water jet cutting, even high pressure lines. The sales guys will try and make it sound not that bad, it really is.

Thanks guys. I'm not looking to buy a m/c. But now that I know what to ask for, I'll locate a job shop that has the right equipment and get a quote.

Yes, Flow and KMT both has such machine since many years ago. And our company is also doing experiment on it
