Check with Cadem, they have Upload/Download from an unmanned central server, all operation is done at the machine.

Just aquired a Plasma table second hand, in the process of setting it up. Would like to know what software is necessary to make it function properly. Currently has LYNX 752 controls, and Hypertherm HT400 height control. Looking to have it be able to download NC files from a central server. What type of NC generation software/communications software is needed?

thank you,
Trying to get files transfered from the pc-server to the LYNX controller now via RS232 port.
Using CADEM's dnc software, have everything set up to the best of my knowledge but it just plain will not upload/download nc files. Are there any common problems that could be the cause?
Check all the protocol parameters baud rate, software handshake etc, you may need a break out box to test the cables and ports, Cadem has a loop back test to check the PC end.

Thanks a lot. Got it running, just have a small issue with circular interpolation on it. It will make linear cuts fine, but as soon as it begins a circular cut or arc it becomes painfully slow, as slow as 1ipm. I am certain its a setting within the controller but am unsure as to which it may be. Any suggestions as to where to look or what the setting might be called?
Is the program CAM generated? or are you writing G code? How is it doing circular interpolation, What commands?

Using Pronest to generate the G-code. G02 interpolation using I & J coordinates. Its cutting straight lines fine at the correct speeds, the code it self does not have any feed rates changing when it goes into a arc movement. I am sure it must be a setting within the controller because even when using a library part built into the controller it cuts arcs at an incredibly slow feed.
