Motion Control Products - DMM Technology
Hi all,
Has anyone used this crowd, they seem to be selling flashcut gear at a supposed reduced price. I think it might be an old site. I'm on the lookout to upgrade to servos for a bigger table in readyness for Hi-Def

I disagree on the Flashcut being a good choice for plasma. Absolutely no options for any thing plasma. It's got it's own "pulse" card that runs with it's own control software. It's hard to understand shopping for a "deal" on Flashcut when it's going to cost you thousands for the HD and many thousands more for a stand alone Torch Height to run with it.

Hi Tom,
I'm just looking at all the options, by pulse card do you mean the signal generator. Did I read somewhere that Mach 3 has the capability to run the true hole technology by hypertherm, the way it ramps up and down the current during the pierce and cut.
Torchmate have launched a new software so I'll see what that has to offer too. It may be a year before I get the power source but the table upgrade will be a lot sooner.
Your input is appreciated.

Mach is flexible enough to do just about anything you want. Our electronics talk to MACH through custom plug-ins we have written. Most of it boils down to communications (bits and bytes) and how the plasma can be communicated with remotely. A lot of the newer Hypertherm plasmas are starting to show up with serial (and a few with Ethernet) communications. I'm sure someone (I wonder WHO?) will be able to send control signals to a Hypertherm.
