CNC controls

Okay, before I start my build, I got the mechanical part down.

Now, what about the controls.

I know about camsoft, candcnc

Now, these are nice software but using them throws the budge way off. I read about people building machines for 3,000 but these units are 1500-2500 alone..

What are the things I need?

The steppers, then the power device, then the control board?

Am I right? Is that all that is needed?

I have Chinese CNC Router.For Router which control is best.Means DSP or NC STUDIO and what is difference between NC STUDIO and DSP control system.

Sorry, this is for a plasma machine.

I see set ups like this.

Was wondering if these are alright and what else I would need.
