I have an Eltee Pulsitron TRM21/EP300CP machine that has a small problem (I hope). I haven't had it long, but when I first set it up, I could control the Z axis with the jog controls. Now I can't. If I switch the auto switch to on in the control cabinet, Z travels full extend. Switch it to manual, Z travels to full contract. The jog buttons do nothing.
In other words, I have no control over the movements of Z axis.
Open the small door on the back of the control panel and check each fuse if memory serves me I believe your F7 fuse is blown. If you need more help you can call me 267-319-0005 chris.
Do you have a setup procedure? Like how to position electrode on top of cutting surface/object? Ours is not working well, it retracts to home position.
What is the right procedure for setup, noboby here knows for sure.
The head is retracting because your not entering a depth to burn to. Use the jog (slow)to make contact then set a zero on z. Then enter a depth to burn to in your depth screen. Call me if you need more help with anything.
There is no depth screen on machine, the one we got is totally manual, an EP30 which uses switches for setup, with gauges for current and voltage readings, has a jog switch which works well and adjusting knobs for jog speed but nobody knows how to set up cutting depth on it. Once you hit the on button it shuts itself off you have to hold this button to work on pieces but only from self positioning home not from preset position. Audible alarms works well in jog but it does not work in cut maybe because of improper setup.
Does anyone knows how to set cutting position on this machine?

Finally got it to work!
Faulty overtemp circuit on main breaker, desoldered capacitor on board and improper settings (still working on this), thanks for your help.
Attached is a schematic for a similar machine posted somwhere in this forums helpfull in troubleshooting.
