Hello, (Please see attachment)
Can anyone share any ideas about machining the plastic for the dimensions discussed in the drawing. Cutting the groove (ID shown in the drawing) in the following plastic material is little tricky and can possibly be done using waterjet technology.
Any idea who does this for smaller parts like we use. Please advice. Thanks!

We've cut several different plastics on our waterjet. UHMW, Polycarb, Acrylic, nylon, acetal, delrin, and a few other odd balls with good results. The only problems I see is the parts are small and pretty tight tolerance, and if the material is brittle the slot in the one piece would be all but impossible unless a it was pre-pierced with a drill. I'm not familiar with polylmide if its similar to nylon it should cut pretty good. These should be doable by a WJ shop with a high precision machine.
