    Cutmaster 101 - a deal?

Have a chance to buy a slightly used 101 with I believe the shorter leads for 1200. Is it a good unit? It's that or an everlast IGBT unit thats 80 amps for 600... I'm looking for resale value down the line as well as quality. Need to know now though as I have to make this purchase soon. It will be going on my plasma table.

Also how legitimate does http://store.cyberweld.com/thdyplcucu10.html look? I'd hate to pay 1200 and if I end up needing money I can't unload it...

Go with a Hypertherm. Look at the resale (completed listings prices) of used plasma equipment on ebay. Compare consumable life as well. Cut quality is pretty good with the powermax line.

Yeah but I can't get the equivalent of an 80amp for 1200 with them around here.

$1200 is a great price for a "slightly used" Cutmaster 101. You are way better off with this unit as compared to a new import machine.

The Cutmaster 101 for comparison purposes is actually equivalent in power output and duty cycle to a Hypertherm Powermax1000.....which is 60 Amps output. T-D plays some games with specifications....the real cutting power is based on the killowatt output and duty cycle. That being said, you would still have a hard time finding a used Hypertherm Powermax1000 for that price....they hold their value pretty well!
