    Robofil 310 (console 2)

I´ve been working for a couple of months with a Robofil 310. I´m getting some measurements problem, because for example, imagine i´m opening a box 20*20... On top i get 20*20 , but it´s not constant... i get - 0.02 / -0,03 mesuring at the bottom. What do you recomend ? a 4 axis program to compensate that error ?

    Thanks

try running a "guide set-up" in the measures screen.

you must have the centering eye properly mounted.

I think that i might not have explained myself has i should. This is the problem: i have a simple geometry to do , like a 20*20 square , for let´s say 70mm height. On top i have a correct measuring , but below , the square is tight , for about 0.03... the problem is not on the wire alignememt. On a small height i don´t have any problem. Can it be because of low water below ?

try and increase your wire speed and see if the bottom tolerance changes. It sounds like your wire is running slow so the diameter is changing more in the cut. If i am cutting a tall part i tend to program with taper but only use a few seconds to a minute of taper angle.

It could be an alignment issue. A taller part would increase the inaccuracy. Also, is that a direct cut or a rough and finish?

What wire are you using and what application have you set in the technology? Is it steel you are cutting? Also, have you calibrated the wire tension recently?

Yup , tension is ok... Im using LS25 , with TEC : LS25A , cutting steel. Doesn´t your geometry get larger where it gets more water ?? 0,02 , 0.03 ???

Not if I rough and finish it doesn't. I'm not sure what that wire is. Is it a hard brass wire? If I wire through parts that thick with no draft I change the application to Stamping tool, mould part and use fully hard wire. I'm using a fanuc control though so technology setting is different. Sounds like you have Charmilles control.
Have you tried calibrating your flushing if you think that might be affecting it?

The wire is not copper , i dont know how to say it in English... Laton , maybe... it has 500 nws. I´m working ok , and this differences are only when i have from 40 mm or above (height)

It's probably a brass wire you are using. Unless its a zinc coated wire? 500N/M is half hard. Try using a fully hard wire (900N/M) for wiring tall pieces with the correct technology settings. That should stop you getting these run outs
