If your Fow Jet has the PC based controller (which most do), and it has a LAN Port (Cat4 or 5) as on our 5year+ machine, then you can hook it up to a network.
Does anyone know flow jet machines?
I’ve been told (not reliably) that flow jet's machines can not be hooked up to a network. what I would like to do is hook the to machines i have to my shop network and access cut files from my server to have one copy of a file that can be loaded to each machine as to not have more than one version of that file scattered on multiple machines

The PC based FLOW machines can be hooked up to a network with no problems. The older FLOW machines with a LYNX control can not be hooked directly to a network, this being said you can use rs 232 to download the same G code file that is stored on a network to multiple machines. We do this now in our shop. One computer on the network that has a rs232 data transfer switch hooked to it which allows you to select which machine is connected to the the rs232 port. You transfer the file to the lynx controler from the network via the computer.
