The 48 volt 7.5 amp (almost 400 watts) would be plenty. Stepper drives draw a lot less than they supply to the motor.
I try to select a toroidal power supply for the following and any suggestions would be much appreciated. Please suggest couple choices in case one is not available.
The Gecko G540 digital 4 axis motor control + 4 Stepper motors 381oz-in. I have attached here the motor spec and the G540 has 0-3.5A rated phase current, 18-50VDC.
I don’t want to make my own toroidal because once I did I had a heck of a time to get the right parts and at the end I don’t think the savings was that great (but the experience was). So the available choices of toroidal are: 48VDC/7.5A, 38VDC/15A, 48VDC/13A and 50VDC/10A.
I would prefer the 48V/7.5A but I think the Amps are too low so the next choice will be either the 48V/13A or the 50V/10A (I think)
Also I’m not familiar with the “Digital” G540. Does it need any special wiring and would it work with Mach3? What the digital means?

Thank you Larken for the infor but I found a 36V/10A power supply in my shop and I will use that one to get going. If not sufficient then I will get the 48V
