Has anyone out there tried Wantai Motors Power Supplies...? ![]() I'm struggling to find something rated a 50 Volts DC at 17 Amps Here in Australia... ![]() I've made contact with them and just want to see if anyone has used them before... They are quite cheap... 2 x 400W - 48 @ 8.3 Amps - $39USD per item... Need someone to point me in the right direction... ![]() ![]()

I suppose I should have left a few calculations in my last post... My intention is to build a new machine 2 motors running the X axis - due to its size 1 Motor for both the Z and Y axis' Have purchased 4 x Gecko 203V 4 x Nema 34 640oz/inch Steppers 50V Max 6.3 Amps per phase 2.2 mH Inductance Still yet to purchase Power Supplies... Calculations as follows Max 50V = 32 x Square Root of 2.2 = 47.46V Amps = 4 Motors x 6.3 Amps per phase x 0.67 = 16.88Amps Options I have at this point looking to purchase - 2 x Wantai Motors 400W 48V 8.3 Amp Power Supplies to run 2 motors off each... OR.. 1 x Keling Industries KL- 5020 50 Volt 20 Amp Power Supply and run all off this one supply... Question is...? Whats the difference between the Keling Industries KL- 5020 unregulated power supply as to the regulated Wantai Motors power supply... Is the extra amps from the Keling Industries KL- 5020 going to matter... I may add a 4th axis to the machine in the future... Also the Keling Industries KL- 5020 has a second 5 volt output hand for Fans and BOB... Cost wise - Wantai can supply me with 2 x 400W supplies and a 5 Volt 15W supply including delivery to my door for less than the cost of the Keling Industries KL- 5020 by itself... Opinions and expertise would be greatly appreciated...! Are my Calcs correct...?

Hey coloradonewbie... Thanks for the recommendation.. However I opted for the Keling KL-5020... Going by the gecko site they recommend unregulated DC power so I stuck with that... I did chat with Jolie tho... Its great that you can chat live with them right there and then... Saves waiting on replies to emails... The Keling KL-5020 arrived today... Looks cool... Just gotta figure out how to wire it up... ![]() Anyoe know of a link that would show this...? Cheers

Hey FannBlade... Thanks for the link... I don't suppose you would know which wires are paired... I'm wiring for 220VAC The document you showed us states... 220Vac – 1st red wire to neutral, 1st black wire to 2nd red wire, and the 2nd black wire to hot. You wouldn't know which is which would you?...
