Changing homeing sensor with det.range 2mm to new one with 4mm | |
I need to change one homing sensor to a different electrical solution (open kollektor if I remember correct).
Now I have hunted down the spec on the Chinese version already in use and it has a detection range of 2mm. Now the only one I find matching my dimmensions and method of working has a detection range of 4mm.
The sensor is a barrel M8 if I remember correct and is screwd in to the 4th axis in use.
The question is- could I run in to problems substituting with this new sensor found? The only thing I can come up with is that the unit might detect wrong if I don't mount it close enough to the sensing object. Other than that the unit should have a longer linear area of detecton which I can't see is a negative thing..
