I hope you make the change. It's a big step that takes lots of time and patience but it's worth the effort.

When I started there was only brushes. Then I tried some routing with home made templates. About ten years ago I bought a cheap router. As awful as that machine was it got me started with a whole new life. My advice is bite the bullet and get a CNC. There is plenty of good help online.

Joe, thanks for the inspiration I just started building a CNC I bought qa kit from Fine Line Automation. Here is a link to the build thread I started. I will be adding to it soon.May I ask what software do you use or what would be good for me to start out with?

I used Vetric when it came out but upgraded to Aspire.

I'm running a 5'X10' EZ router. It's been in the shop for about five years.
