| Hello All, Does anyone know of a HSS ID Acme threading tool that is readily available? I plan on cutting a 1/2-10 Acme thread in plastic for a depth of 1.500". I don't have any indexable boring bars available to me, and my grinding capabilites are limited as well. Thank You for your time. Shane. |

| You could make one out of ACME threaded rod itself. Cut two or three slots in a piece of threaded rod. you could even angle the back of the slots to help carry away the cut material. I used an 8 inch piece of ACME 1/2 - 10 tpi threaded rod to make my nuts for my first machine from UHMW plastic. Good Luck! |
