Hi Group I`m hoping to setup a spindle for milling ferrous and non-ferrous metals. I see a Bridgeport can go do to 500 rpms. I`m not certain I`ll be able to get down to 500 rpms. I was hoping to setup with a 3450 motor, this would allow me to drive at higher speeds for wood and possibly gear down to mill metal. What are some typical cutter speeds for milling aluminum and steel. Regards Barry  |
