Rougher endmills fine/wavy

I have been experimenting with rougher endmills to see which one will give me a better removal rate on aluminum on my little CNC mill. I tried 3 flutes carbide with sinusoidal teeth and tiny sharp teeth. I cant see any difference in feeds that I can achieve. Are there any special applications for sinusoidal teeth roughers vs fine teeth ones?

No idea! But...you might consider trying a 3 flute coarse tooth rougher in HSS or cobalt. Can't see any reason to pay for carbide if you are milling aluminum.

I use carbide endmills that are made for roughing alum. They are great tools that run for ever, and never break. I only use carbide endmills, HSS just doesn't get the time I'm looking for..

I work in aircraft industry where we cut alot of aluminum . I use carbide endmills with a zirconium nitride coating. works great on aluminum for roughing and finishing with a high removal rate.
