I'm looking to add a 4th axis to my tabletop mill and tried searching for some projects done by other members but didnt find too much. Has anyone come across other projects/builds where a 4th axis was added? Or just have some recommendations? So far I think the best way to accomplish this is a rotary table, with a lathe type collet to hold projects centered. On the right track? Thanks |

| Depending on the quality of the rotary table, backlash may be a problem. I recently completed a 4th axis conversion using a mini-lathe headstock. This works out well and is a simple design. I raised it to match a tailstock that I already had. **I attached couple of photos, but they seem not to be here. Will try again.** |
