I don't have space or $ for a dedicated ironworker and a shop press. But I would like to be able to shear, punch and bend up to 1/2 or 3/4 plate. Right now I am thinking of building a 50 or 100 ton h-frame press that will accept spring loaded dies to perform these tasks. Has anyone done this? I'd be interested to hear what thought / experiences anyone has had on an idea like this. TIA |
