I need to cut 1/8" square stainless bar stock crisply with no distortion or discoloration for decorative pieces on wood work. I see a small Grizzly handle-type shear in their catalog. Will something like this work? If not, can anybody point me to a small shear that will handle this small stock? Thanks. |

| No small shear is going to cut any material that is 0.125" thick - especially stainless. I have a 12" diacro, which is a very well made, rigid, shear and the most it can do is 16 gauge steel (0.0625" thick or half your desired thickness). If it's square stock, I'd consider a DeWalt Multicutter, which I'm told gives great finishes. May only work on aluminum though, not stainless.
