X axis torque alarm on Takisawa Lathe

Recently I have been getting an X axis torque alarm on my Takisawa EX-108. I think it is due to the fact I let the coolant run down and get sticky. Any ideas of what else would cause this? I really need to get my projects going.

I went in with a scraper and cleaned under the rubber dams on X Axis then hit with a jet of water on the hose. This seemed to have worked at least for awhile. After gentle, slow manipulation of the X-axis, I was able to move around and am now working again.

Give the ways a good coat of waylube oil. Vactra2 or?
Including the ballscrew, if you can see it.

I had already gone in and looked at the ways and ballscrew a couple weeks ago and lubed them. At this point I am convinced that the problem lies in the fact I let the coolant get so low. (Not enough information when I started learning this machine regarding the coolant tank and how it worked.) When I started refilling the coolant tank yesterday, I put in almost the same amount of liquid that the tank holds. I am going to continue to run the machine and try to build up the "slickness" factor.
