I have an Ikegai AX20Z CNC turret lathe with a Fanuc 6T control. When we turn on the main power switch, the load meter "pegs out" and the spindle rpm has a reading of app. 1500 rpm's. The control is not on at this point. On the main board (???) the green LED is on that tells you there is motor rotation. However, the machine has just been turned on there is no motor rotation. If I unplug the 20 pin connector labeled "C" from the board, the light will go out. Sometimes when I plug it back in, it stays out and I can power up the control with no problems and run the machine all day. All other times, the motor rotation LED lights up and the load meter and rpm gauge go up again. Is this a problem with my tachometer, or should I be looking for a problem elsewhere? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.  |
