Milling on an Angle

Maybe someone might be able to cue me in on what this issue might be.
This is the second part I have cut using Cut3D and both parts came out the same way.

I have nice square horizontal geometry in both my Cad program and also
it appears that the tool paths in Cut3D are also square.
However, when cutting the part it has a fairly steep angle to it.
This part is roughly 6" long.
I am just surprised at this steep cutting angle over such a short distance.

I guess I am really confused as I can run the machine to full +X with a measuring block under the tip of a tool and then run the table to full -X and the measuring block fits perfect under the tip of the tool at the full -X range.

Help!

My guess is that you don't have an issue w/ the squareness of the mill or the code but something is slipping a bit after each Z rapid and you are seeing the cumulative effect of this after hundreds of head movements. It's not uncommon for the Z-Axis coupler to slip on small miss.

This is just a guess but if you are cutting the profile along the Y axis and incrementing the x for each pass and working from left to the right then your Z-Axis coupler might be slipping a bit each time it reverses direction and the effect is cumulative by the time you reach the end. Check the Z height at say 1" (G00 Z1) w/ a gauge block before milling and then return to that height after milling (G00 Z1) and see if the height has changed. It could also be a tool slipping in the collet but that's less likely in wood.
