I'm running a Mazak T-plus Lathe using ISO programmes. Having trouble with the T32 compatible G76 line ( single line ). I need to set a minimum depth of cut. At the moment our machine is taking as many 30 cuts to produce a thread! This can't be right! Is there a parameter in the Mazak machine where I can set the min depth of cut? The machine starts ok, reading the D value as first depth but then after a few threads starts cutting at only 0.01mm in X.... Needless to say this is taking an age when 3 or 4 cuts would be fine. I know that setting parameter 16 bit 3 changes between T32 and Standard but we have our Face milling post set to suit T32 and I don't want to change this to Standard as it took an age to get Solidcam to punch out the correct code! Please HELP!!  |
