Need help manufacturing bunghole reducer

Hi guys. I'm trying to make a bunghole reducer that would fit on a 55 gallon metal drum. The bunghole seems to be a standard threaded hole, however I cannot find information regarding thread pitch or OD. The hole measures up at 2.25" but the threads don't seem to match anything on my thread gauge. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Normally they are the same as pipe threads also known as NPT, but can be buttress as rarer in steel than plastic drums. You can probably just get a steel pipe thread reducer bushing and modify it, if need be.

They are JIC or SAE threads. Common with hydraulic fittings. Not likely to find them at a local hardware store, but if you have a hydraulic repair shop they should have them.

Hmmm, I have not seen the fine threaded ones in years. Could be another possibility though.
