| Currently using Siemens 840DI sl. Trying to configure precision Heidenhain encoder for auxilary axis but I cannot seem to understand the way the scaling works to set this up. Encoder has 18000 ppr with a 20X multiplier box that is being fed into a Siemens ADI4 card. Currently I have the following values set in the parameter list for this axis: 31020[0] ENC_RESOL = 3599619 31025[0] ENC_PULSE_MULT = 36000 These values yield a result that causes my spindle to index approximately 360 degrees per revolution but I am not confident on the repeatability over time. Any insight on setting these parameters along with any parameters I may be overlooking would be appreciated. |
