I am starting to work on a Nakamura Lathe with a Fanuc 10t control. The X axis is reversed? X0 = Part C/L X-1.0 will produce a part that is 2.0 inches in diameter. X-2. = 4" Diameter. This seems backwards? What parameter can I check to verify or switch the direction. |

| From my experience, some people will set X=0 to the center of the spindle so they can leave any drill or center cutting tool offset to "0" on the X axis geometry. This is so that they don't have to center every tool on each setup. It works when you are not making any small holes or tight toelrance holes. It also helps when you have boring bars, what you would do is to make the boring bars X geometry offset equal to the negative value of the bars minimum bore size. Try making an ID tool offset zero and run T#### X=0 on the MDI mode, if it aligns tho holder to the spindle center then that's what the previous owner used to work on that machine. I hope this helps |
