I need some ideas to build a Z axis, please post picture(s) of your's.

Here are some pics of my Z axis. The Z plate is 450mm * 24mm. Plates are 20mm thick.
Bearings are SBG Linear...
Ball Screw is 16mm 5TPI.

Looks like its made out of aluminum tube. What type of linear slide did you used?

My Question
how long and how wide sould z axis be? (using Porter Cable router)

It is hard to see but the servo near the top of the mill is for my Z axis.

High Seas here - my z axis is posted in the members gallerys - if that helps- cheers.
BTW - it takes a bit of a "different" approach.
